Captain Redeye and the Hoods

Captain Redeye and the Hoods is a jumpin’, jivin’ and wailin’ nine-piece gangster swing band - playing an upbeat mix of jump-jazz from the 1940s and 50s alongside big-band classics and hits from the modern swing revival, all with a dash of Latin and Calypso thrown in for good measure.
The playlist features old favourites from artists such as Louis Prima, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Andy Williams, and draws from the golden Hollywood era of cinema, as well as from more recent films such as “Swingers” and “The Mask”.

The Hoods have been in existence since 2002 and are based between London and Leeds.
They have played numerous gigs nationally for both public and private events and have always caused a stir.

This exhilarating 9-piece band has proved to be hugely popular for theme nights and dances, as well as for club gigs, and is guaranteed to make any party go with a swing!
