




	Rob Barron Cocktail Pianist Rob is one of the UK's finest pianists. He performs sophisticated cocktail piano music with a vast repertoire of jazz standards, music from the all American song book, jazz renditions of popular songs and classic theatre and show-tunes. Rob can also be hired as an accompanist to perform with a professional vocalist or one of your guests for a one-off performance. Rob studied both at Leeds College of Music gaining a BA Hons in Jazz Studies and receiving the Sam Hood award for outstanding Performance (2003) and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London gaining an M.Mus in Music Performance with Distinction. As well as being a talented performer of cocktail piano for events all over the UK and more recently also in Europe, Rob is very active in other genres of music. He is currently working with the Norweigan vocalist Cecilie Giskemo on her Periwinkle project. Rob has played with Bob Mintzer, Phil Woods, Benny Golson, Bryan Adams, Tim Garland, Soweto Kinch, Jimmy Heath, Anita Wardell, Ian McCormack and Leo Green amongst others. He held the piano chair in the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Great Britain for over 2 years (Oct 02 - Dec 05.) Rob is also the Musical Director for US vocalist Marisa Turner (Chaka Kahn/Prince.) As a session musician he has appeared on recordings for Planet Perfecto and Soul Factory records. Theatre credits include Never Forget (West End and Uk Tour 07/08) The Rat Pack, Live from Las Vagas. (West End and Tour 2006) Blood Brothers UK tour (2004/5) and The Official Tribute to the Blues Brothers UK Tour 2003 and European Tour 05/06. Rob is a very gifted and talented musician. When he performs at any event, the atmosphere is totally transformed and guests are mesmerized and spell-bound by his musical eloquence, stylistic authenticity and integrity, his outstanding professionalism and jaw-dropping ability.
