Samba Nova

Samba Nova are one of the premier Latin music acts in the country, and have been performing across the UK and Europe for the last five years. Devoted to the music of Latin America, they play salsa, mambo, samba jazz, bossa nova, and batucada, incorporating a massive repertoire of tunes from Cuba, Brazil, Puerto Rico and the rest of Spanish-speaking America. The musicians perform their music not only at all kinds of corporate events and private functions, but also at jazz clubs and festivals around the continent, so the music presented is very much the real deal – authentic Cuban and Brazilian jazz for both dancing and listening!

Samba Nova perform in both small and large groups and are available as an instrumental or vocal act. For more intimate, relaxed events, the 3-piece group (or 4-piece with female vocalist) offer a classic piano, bass and percussion set-up, performing both gentle bossa novas and danzons for background listening, as well as salsa and samba tunes for dancing. The 6-piece group (or 7-piece with female vocalist) add horns and drum-kit to create the perfect party experience; authentic salsa and samba which instantly brings the atmosphere of Havana and Rio de Janiero to any event.
